Emotional Support Animals (ESA) are pets that provide comfort and support in forms of affection and companionship for an individual suffering from various mental and emotional conditions. An Emotional Support Animal is not required to perform any specific tasks for a disability like Service Dogs do.. ESA's are protected by Federal Law: (ACAA) TITLE 49, SEC. 41705 / (FHA) 42 USC 3601 et seq. UNDER THE AIR CARRIER ACCESS ACT (ACAA) TITLE 49, SECTION 41705 OF THE U.S. CODE, ESAS HAVE THE RIGHT (UNDER CERTAIN REQUIREMENTS) TO FLY WITH ITS HANDLER IN THE CABIN OF AN AIRCRAFT WITHOUT BEING CHARGED A PET FEE. AIRLINES WILL REQUIRE A ESA LETTER FROM THE HANDLERS DOCTOR. THIS CARD IS FOR SECONDARY ESA IDENTIFICATION PUPOSES ONLY. UNDER THE FAIR HOUSING AMENDMENTS ACT (FHA) 42 USC 3601, et seq. ESAS HAVE THE RIGHT (UNDER CERTAIN REQUIREMENTS) TO PERMIT A PERSON WITH A DISABILITY TO KEEP A PET IN MOST TYPES OF HOUSING THAT HAVE A NO PETS POLICY. A VERBAL OR WRITTEN REQUEST ALONG WITH A LETTER OR PRESCRIPTION FROM THE HANDLERS DOCTOR SHOULD BE SENT TO THE LANDLORD. IF THE QUALIFIED APPLICANTS LANDLORD REFUSES THE REQUEST A COMPLAINT CAN BE FILED WITH THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE AND OR WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT. This card when used in conjunction with a letter from your Doctor will help identify your pet as an ESA. The card also clearly states your rights on the back side of the card. This card is customizable and requires you to submit the photo and information before adding the item to your cart.
