The kurbit was a fantastical gourd plant commonly used in folk paintings in Dalarna Sweden, as a symbol of good luck. Combined with the wonderful dala horse its a colorful addition to any kitchen or pantry.A Dalecarlian horse or Dala horse is a traditional carved, painted wooden statue of a horse originating in the Swedish province of Dalarna. Here it used in a repetitive pattern to great effect.
