• This 53.35mm tamper precisely designed for 54mm IMS Precision Filter Baskets.
• The technical dimension is 53.35mm. According to Italian standards, the engraved dimension on the side of the tamper refers to the size of the basket this tamper fits. As the basket's borders are at 53.5mm, tamper with 53.50 mm would just scratch the basket. Also, when pulling 53.5mm tamper out, it would create a vacuum and would damage the puck.

Ideal for a constant pressing and perfectly balanced. Made in Italy. Fits Breville Sage Express, Bambino, Bambino Plus BES450, BES500, BES880, BES810BSS, BES860XL, BES870XL, BES878. PLEASE NOTE: The technical tamper's dimension is 53.35mm. As the basket's borders are at 53.5mm, tamper with 53.50 mm would just scratch the basket. In Italy there is a "standard" to write the dimension on a tamper in regards to what basket it would fit, and not exact tamper's diameter.
